The main building of the Reindeer Park has a café, a souvenir shop and an auditorium, which takes 130 people, as well as an exhibition hall. We also have an exhibition on the terrain, flora and fauna of Salla. It gives you a comprehensive overview of the old forests and the encounters of the reindeer with predators. With its colourful photos, sounds of nature, and showcases with stuffed predators, the exhibition is an impressive experience.

You can experience the wintry nature even by walking – with snowshoes. On our snowshoe trip to an ice wall, you will learn this fun, traditional way of moving in the snow. Also learn how to do ice fishing and having a nice Lappish picnic.

We will start our trip from the main building, where we will first check that your shoes and clothes are suited for the wintry ride. In necessary, we will lend you a thermo overall, shoes and gloves.

We will start our tour at the auditorium of the main building, where the guide illustrates the course of one year of reindeer management with a one-hour slide show. One of our experts will be there to answer your questions about reindeer and reindeer management.

The trip starts at the main building of the Reindeer Park. Sitting in a sleigh pulled by a snowmobile, covered with reindeer hides, we will take a 1.5-kilometre (0.9-mile) ride from the main building to the reindeer corrals. One sleigh takes 8-10 adults.
