Reindeer feeding trip
The trip starts at the main building of the Reindeer Park. Sitting in a sleigh pulled by a snowmobile, covered with reindeer hides, we will take a 1.5-kilometre (0.9-mile) ride from the main building to the reindeer corrals. One sleigh takes 8-10 adults.
Our route goes through an undulating pine-tree and spruce forest.
The reindeer gather in the feeding place, as the guide calls them. You can touch and stroke them and feed them with lichen, dried birch twigs and fodder. The guide tells you how the reindeer are called, revealing interesting details of their character and lives.
We will then return to the main building in a sleigh pulled by a snowmobile.
